Nutrition counseling is a supportive resource in helping you make healthier food choices that best support your body, goals and lifestyle.

We can identify unhealthy eating habits and find ways to best improve your nutrition.

You’ll learn what foods will maximize your health and energy, as well as foods you may want to avoid. We will discuss your current lifestyle and food habits to evaluate which components you might benefit from eating more or less of, to help reach your goals.

No one diet works for everyone. That’s why my approach to nutrition counseling is always personalized. I will consider your health history, dietary habits, food sensitivities and preferences, environment and routine, available resources and state of mind to discover the root cause of illness, health or weight concerns.

All Nutrition Counseling Packages Include:

EMPOWERMENT CHAT

During this session, we will discuss your health and lifestyle to determine how I can best support you in achieving your goals. As your nutritionist and coach, it is helpful to understand what is important to you and the many factors that contribute or affect your health and wellbeing. Our session will give you a simple and effective plan for creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This will help us to be more focused as we begin our coaching relationship, with the intention of using your time well and helping you to move towards accomplishing your goals.

45-Minute Initial Session (Nutrition Assessment & Intake)

This first session will be focused on your nutritional needs and lifestyle, going further into the details of your medical and nutritional history. This will include your symptoms and any approaches you may have already taken to address your concerns. We will dig deep to really understand your relationship with food and your body as well as the root of any unwanted eating habits. 

Utilizing your personal goals, food journal, medicines and supplements, any lab test results and your calculated nutritional needs, we will go over specific objectives and clear steps to make positive changes to your health and wellbeing, that we will continue working on together in future sessions. 

This personalized approach to supporting your body is designed to be practical and sustainable for you. We’ll set realistic goals, priorities, and time-frames and discuss your follow-up needs.

Two, 30-minute Follow-up Sessions Each Month

During each follow-up session, we’ll discuss your progress, which aspects of the nutrition care plan are working for you and which aspects you’d like to adjust. We’ll work through any barriers, and introduce new strategies to help you move towards your goals. Everything is personalized to address your personal needs.

Some of what we may talk about includes:

  • what you most like about the plan and what aspects did you successfully carry out?
  • which parts of the plan do you need different strategies for?
  • have your symptoms changed and how?
  • if you are trying to lose or gain weight, has your weight changed?
  • if nutrition supplements are part of your plan, what feedback do you have on them?

Educational Handouts and Worksheets

After each session, you’ll get an email recap with clear and realistic steps you can take to make changes, worksheets to reinforce important concepts, and relevant reading material.

Email Support and Weekly Check-Ins Between Sessions

Along with email support, you will have accountability check-ins.

ACCOUNTABILITY CHECK-INS:  One of the most important things I can do for you is to hold you accountable and make sure you know exactly what you need to do to be ready when your next session comes.

That’s why you will have a weekly check-in to see how you are doing with your nutrition, and the upcoming steps and goals. This not only holds you accountable but will also remind you to get the help you need to take the next step.

Nutrition Counseling is via video telehealth or telephone based on your preference.
